"The Beckstrom Family (Dad: Kurt; Mom: Elaine; Brothers: Gus and Jake) have chosen to *walk* in support of Team U2FP because the youngest family member, Jake, is a manager for U2FP for the last two years. Jake suffered a spinal cord injury 15 years ago, and his parents and brother have supported him in every aspect of his life. Raising funds and awareness by racing for Team U2FP is just another great opportunity for the Beckstrom Family to support Jake and the quest for a Cure!"

• What do you crave after a long run? Kurt has been making homemade ice cream sandwiches (homemade ice cream as well as homemade cookies) this summer, and the whole family has been craving those!

• What are you most excited and/or nervous about for Team U2FP's Virtual Run-Walk-Roll 2020? The Beckstrom Family is a little nervous because both Mom and Dad have bad knees, and that is why we have decided to *walk* the 5K distance. We figure that if one of us feels like we can't make it, the other three will be right by their side encouraging them onward. We are all very excited about raising money and awareness for U2FP!
• Tell us something unique or interesting about you?: Back in the day, Elaine was a track star at her high school in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. The school did not have a female track team, so Elaine was the only girl on the boys team. To this day, Elaine still holds the school record for fastest 100 meter dash!
