Why did you choose to run/wheel in support of Team U2FP?
"I have many connections to U2FP, the most direct being that I have a SCI and want to do everytthing I can to deliver an intervention to restore functions to folks like me. U2FP is doing extremely impressive and necessary work to make that intervention a reality." "Ipso facto, I am all about Team U2FP...I want to hit a full power forehand in tennis before I am 45".
First Marathon?
"No, I was lucky enough to push in the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon fundraising for Team U2FP, which was my 1st marathon in a wheelchair or otherwise".
What do you crave after training?
"30 minutes lying on my stomach and knife and fork IPA".
Do you listen to anything when you train?
"Weird Sci-Fi books on tape and Top 40s all day. I've been hitting early 00's pop-punk lately (for which I am ashamed)".
What are you nervous or excited about the BACM?
"Most excited to focus on my time. Now that I know I can actually go through all the steps of completing the marathon, I can focus on improving my time to sun-5 hours". "As always I'm nervous about my body screwing me out of being able to participated (bowel/bladder/skin/shoulders/etc...) or getting a flat".
Fun Facts:
"I feel like the easy route for interesting factss ia always a humble brag, so...this may be interesting-it takes me more time to put on a pair of socks then it does t put on everything else (underwear, pants, shoes, shirt), so I no longer wear socks! Wait, nope, that wasn't interesting. My bad".
