Dear Ryan,
We're now in the homestretch - the 12th annual Working 2 Walk conference is just over a week away!
This year you’ll have the opportunity to hear from two unique and empowering voices from the advocacy world. Both individuals have Spinal Cord Injuries and will discuss the creative ways they have engaged the community in their advocacy work.
Sabrina Cohen, the founder and president of the Sabrina Cohen Foundation has been advocating for both cures and access for many years. She is a seasoned advocate who has spoken at many conferences, media events about stem cell research, Activity Based Therapy and quality of life issues.
Kelsey Peterson is a newcomer to the advocacy landscape. After becoming involved in Minnesota’s legislative initiative to fund SCI research and the formation of Get Up Stand Up 2 Cure Paralysis, Kesley took to the road with her friend Madeline Brown. They are traveling the country interviewing folks with SCI, research scientists and advocates in the documentary film project called ‘The Cure Map’.
Take a look!
